One of the most satisfying things about working with POM Wonderful is the letters we get from healthcare practitioners. We are pleased and proud that they are so impressed with the benefits of pomegranate juice that they actively promote it in their practices and activities. To us, there is nothing more valuable.
Want to be a POMbassador? We invite you to write us for educational materials, literature and workshop kits*. And be sure to send us any comments you may have. If you have had success with POM Wonderful pomegranate juice and would like us to share your experiences with others, please contact us at medicaloutreach@pomwonderful.com.
Here are a few of the POMbassadors who are bringing POM Wonderful to their communities, using their unique abilities and resources.
Joanne Kotsopoulos, a PhD student and researcher at the Centre for Research in Women's Health in Toronto
Ms. Kotsopoulos studies dietary intervention strategies for women with a genetic predisposition to breast cancer. As part of a symposium directed towards clinicians to aid in the management of familial breast cancer, she included the latest pomegranate research and potential beneficial role of pomegranate juice. Joanne wrote us back: "Thanks in advance for your help & we are very excited about promoting POM at our clinic!"
Dr. S. Jay Olshansky, Professor, School of Public Health, University of Illinois at Chicago
Dr. Olshansky is using POM Wonderful’s research to help educate his epidemiology students about the differences between well executed and poorly designed research on the potential health benefits of food and other products.
“I have now had an opportunity to examine the manuscripts you sent evaluating the potential health benefits of pomegranate juice. The evidence that it has a beneficial effect on attributes of the cardiovascular system is both powerful and convincing. Congratulations! I will include at least one of these articles in my Introduction to Epidemiology class.”
Drs. Marks and Turcotte, New York City
“We specialize in antioxidant therapies…and were very impressed and happy to receive the studies you sent. Dr. Marks teaches nutrition extensively all over the country and we will reference the studies in our presentations.”
Dr. Jacob Schor, Denver, Colorado
Dr. Schor discovered POM Wonderful pomegranate juice at King Soopers supermarket. He was so impressed with the health benefits that he wrote about them in the newsletter he sends to his 600 patients. He also told his professional chat group about POM Wonderful, and arranged to have juice and information kits at the state meeting of naturopaths.
Cheryl Forberg, RD, Los Angeles, California
Cheryl Forberg has included pomegranates in her latest book, Stop the Clock! Cooking: Defy Aging – Eat The Foods You Love (Avery/Penguin Putnam). She calls pomegranates “one of the top rated antioxidant rich foods” and gave out POM Wonderful pomegranate juice samples and coupons on her book tour. She includes mentions of the powerful properties of pomegranates and their juice in her ongoing university lectures on anti-aging and healthy nutrition.
