- For the Ginger Juice: Cut ginger into pieces about ½-inch. Place in a powerful blender with cold water and blend until liquified. Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a container and press the pulp until dry, then discard, reserving the juice. Juice can be kept sealed in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
- For the Immunity Booster: In a pint jar or pitcher, mix the POM Juice, 3 tablespoons ginger juice, lemon juice, honey, salt, elderberry syrup, turmeric and vitamin D. Stir until honey is completely dissolved in the mixture.
- Pour mixture in ¼ cup portions or keep in a pint jar refrigerated. Drink ¼-cup a day as an immunity booster. Keep refrigerated for up to a week.
*At the health store, look for liquid supplement concentrates. Black elderberry, also known as sambucus nigra, is available in a palatable concentrated syrup. Turmeric root concentrate and vitamin D3 are easily found in liquid drop form. You can swap the turmeric drops for 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, if desired.
