Instructions

  1. In popsicle mold, add about 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt per popsicle mold.
  2. Add a tablespoon of blueberries and raspberries into the popsicle molds.
  3. Freeze for 30 minutes and top with POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice until the popsicle mold is filled to the top.
  4. Insert popsicle sticks, then freeze for at least 5 hours.

*Swap POM Juice for POM Wonderful Pomegranate Blueberry 100% Juice or POM Wonderful Pomegranate Cherry 100% Juice.

‍Tip: Don’t have a popsicle mold? Try a Dixie cup, reuse a small yogurt container, or use an ice tray.

Optional Tips

  1. No popsicle mold is needed. Small paper cups, a clean yogurt container, or an ice cube tray all work as a substitute; add the stick once the yogurt layer is partially set so it stands upright.
  2. Freeze the yogurt layer for 30 minutes before adding the juice. This keeps the two layers distinct instead of the juice sinking through soft yogurt.
  3. Push the fruit down into the yogurt layer before it fully sets. Berries added to already-frozen yogurt just sit on top instead of suspending through the pop.
  4. Plan for the full 5-hour freeze. Pulling these early results in a soft, half-frozen pop that falls apart when unmolded.
  5. Run the mold under warm water for a few seconds to release the pops. Pulling on the stick alone can snap it before the pop releases.

Variations

  1. Different Juice Blend. Swap POM Wonderful® 100% Pomegranate Juice for POM Wonderful® Pomegranate Blueberry or Pomegranate Cherry 100% Juice.
  2. Dairy-Free Version. A plain coconut or oat milk yogurt substitutes for Greek yogurt.
  3. Different Fruit. Diced strawberries, mango, or POM Wonderful® Pomegranate Arils (pomegranate seeds) work in place of blueberries and raspberries.
  4. Two-Layer Only. Skip the fruit entirely for a simple two-layer yogurt and juice pop.

Frequent Questions

Q: Do these need a special popsicle mold?
‍
A: No. A Dixie cup, small yogurt container, or ice cube tray all work as a substitute.

Q: How long do these need to freeze?
‍
A: At least 5 hours, until completely solid; a full overnight freeze makes them easier to unmold.

Q: Can a different juice be used?
‍
A: Yes. POM Wonderful® Pomegranate Blueberry or Pomegranate Cherry 100% Juice both work in place of the original.

Q: How are the popsicles removed from the mold?
‍
A: Run the mold under warm water for a few seconds, which loosens the edges without melting the pop itself.

Q: How long do these keep in the freezer?
‍
A: Up to 2 weeks stored in the mold or transferred to an airtight freezer container.

Q: Can this be made dairy-free?
‍
A: Yes, a plain coconut or oat milk yogurt works in place of Greek yogurt.

Q: Why did the layers mix together instead of staying separate?
‍
A: The yogurt layer likely wasn't frozen long enough before the juice was added; a 30-minute partial freeze keeps the two layers distinct.
